Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas Demo Day a great success!

The Demonstrators, Diane, Barbara, Norma, Mummy While  for all their hard work and beautiful crafting.

April and Richard for manning the till, helping customers and serving the teas, coffees, cup cakes and the lovely shortbread- thanks Olive for the shortbread.

We all had a great day!

But most of all thank you to all our lovely customers who were able to come to the Demo Day and make it such a wonderful day.

The atmosphere in the shop was buzzing. People meeting up watching the demonstrations. Having a cuppa and a cup cake. Getting great ideas for Christmas cards, decorations, scrapbooking embellishments, special presents amongst others.

Also many of you enjoyed doing the Make and Takes sessions of Jewellery Christmas Decorations and Festive covered Notepad. So many that we had to make up more packs, and we ran out of snowflakes! (more snowflakes are ordered and winging their way to us as we speak) And the Cuttlebug machines arrived on Tuesday too.

Many of you told us on the day how much you enjoyed the lovely Christmas Ideas from the Demonstrators.

We would also like to thank you for the great messages of support for the Demo Day, by email, phone and on Facebook.

Please let us know what you liked about the Demo Day:

Which Demos were the most interesting to you? Did you learn any new craft ideas? What else would you have liked to see? Did you take part in the Make and Take sessions?

Either use the 'Leave a comment' link below, or if you use Facebook tell us what you liked.

Finally, Thank you to all who made a donation to the Northern Ireland Hospice- we can't tell you how much we raised but the box is full and very heavy. So thank you for your generous donations for your refreshments.

Happy Crafting,

Sara

Newsletter and Class list out now!

May Newsletter

Hello Crafters,

Firstly, I’d like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who came to our Demo day and helped make it such a great day. Our very own Sarah Boorman was demonstrating the Cuttlebug using Nestabilities, which we are now stocking, and the embossing folders from Provo Craft, while Mina Hartley showed us how to get perfect results using the NEW colours of Distress Inks along with the latest stamp designs from Magnolia (the arrival of which we are eagerly awaiting!).

Barbara and Norma both ran some fabulous Make and Takes which saw several of you going home with a lovely card and a pair of earrings! Dianes’ home baking also helped us raise another £32 for Marie Curie, a cause very close to mine and Richards hearts.

The new class list is available here. We will start taking bookings for these on

Saturday 1st May at 9.30 am

As usual you can book for as many or as few classes as you wish. Bookings can be made in person at the shop or by telephone (028 70354343) – unfortunately we are unable to take bookings by e-mail at this time. Once again we will be asking for payment in advance as this enables us to make the best use of our waiting lists, but anyone giving us 72hours notice of a cancellation will be entitled to a full refund.

We have had a lot of deliveries since the last Newsletter and so there are lots of new goodies in store! We have re stocked all of our beads from Viking Loom and also added some of their new colour mixes. We’ve also bought some gorgeous Two-Tone Papillon and 4mm Rocailles which Barbara has used in the Multi strand necklace (see class details overleaf) as well as some great value Jewellery Kits. These kits are perfect for beginners as well as making a lovely gift. Retailing at just £14.99, they contain everything you need to make a pretty necklace including instructions, beads, findings and even a pair of pliers!

We’ve two new ranges of paper from Basic Grey, Kioshi and Green at Heart, and are expecting two more (Cappella and Max & Whiskers)within the next couple of weeks.

The Lace Doily punch from Martha Stewart is back in stock, although we are still waiting for some of the other designs to come in.

For the stampers amongst you we have a limited amount of great acrylic stamp sets in, with designs from Nellie Snellen and Kitty de Wolf. With prices starting from just £1.50 you could pick yourself up a real bargain.

If you are short of ideas and unable to make classes then you may be interested in the latest Creativity Magazine. Packed full of ideas and with a free CD it is well worth the £2.50 cover price.

Oh, and don’t forget, our next Second Saturday Special is on Saturday 8th May.

I think that is most things for now.

I hope to see you soon, but until then happy crafting!

Sara
